Opened the last of the first batch. Happy to discover it's still a very solid beer. The bourbon and chocolate have mellowed to a subtle balance. They're definitely there in the nose, but faded a bit in the palette. Solo tasty...must make more.

IMHO, good bourbon in the nose, dark body, balanced carb, stout holds its own as bourbon comes up on the finish.

Cracked one open at a friend's last weekend. A year aging did it well. More ump than the first version, nice oak, stout and bourbon balance.

Few months later & it's settled into a solid ginger. Compared to one I had this weekend's fest. Ginger mellow and prominent, aroma gingery.

It's very young with a lot of a Ginger. I'll let it rest for a while and see how it mellows out. As a first run it's set the boundaries.

It's mine, so I am biased, but I like how Marianne's maiden voyage faired.
Final 3 bottles... The nose has rounded out and become more complex. Flavor mellowed considerably, bourbon beginning to fade, carb chould be a bit more too. Still full, silky, good balance.
