Scribbler's Ales

Scribbler’s Ales is a real ale, craft brewery based on the Derby/Nottingham border. As you may have guessed from the name we are just as passionate about books as we are about the beers we brew! We have as much fun making up the names of our beers as we do making them. We began commercial production early in 2014 after spending most of the previous year on research and trial brews. We have worked closely with CAMRA members and other supportive brewers to produce what we believe are a classic range of good quality brews with distinctive flavours. Our 5 barrel St Aplefords Brewery is currently capable of producing 10 barrels a week. We are very keen to work with local pubs and drinkers to try and refine our brews to become a local favourite – so all comments good and not so good are encouraged. We opened our first micro pub “A Room with a View” on 5th February 2016. You can find it at 78 Derby Rd, Nottingham NG1 5FD, just outside the city centre on the way up to Canning Circus.
