My first mild in mild may. Would have this style more if you could get them more regularly down south. Roasty, malty and delicious

Smashing, gentle, and mild (!) mild. I am pairing with chocolate buttons, which feature in the snack lineup here. Photo will (with permission) be used in my beautiful pints painting series. 😃

So good. I'm going to stick my neck out and say this is exactly what PR tasted like back in the day. All caramel malts and beautiful chestnut coloured pour. Very early casualty today. Cask will never die, not on my watch.

Well done Clive, that's brilliant. 2 casks next time, lads.

As bitters go it was pretty nice

Dave Daniels: Paul G. Haha. Nope .. but was actually quite acceptable in amongst the other hard hitters. 👍
Newtown Brewery: Thanks, Dave D., we'll take 'acceptable' as the smallest brewer there. ;-)
Dave Daniels: Newtown Brewery I'm not a bitter drinker/fan, but even following a few "stupid" beers, it was very palatable indeed. My two friends were of the same opinion, too. 👍
Newtown Brewery: Thanks for your kind comments Dave. My wife and I where disappointed as it had sold out when we popped-in for a QC check.
Paul Goodman: Newton Brewery To be clear my comment was aimed at Dave given (as he says) such a beer is not his usual tipple, especially when so many of his preferred types were on offer. No slight against your beer was ever intended, indeed I'll try it soon.
Newtown Brewery: Paul Goodman, no offence taken. I was just pleased that it stood-up against some of the hop-bombs and Impy Stouts on the day. Cheers
Lovely burnt toast and blackberry flavours.
