Brewed with three simple hand selected malts to provide a crisp, smooth and highly carbonated brew. Similar to our roots, the first hop addition is a traditional old world style hop. Culture Collab is a true collaboration of ideas, flavors, and craft with our friends at New Belgium Brewing, the gold standard for barrel-aged sour beers in the U.S.

This American sour ale features wort fermented with New Belgium’s classic “Felix” culture–the oldest souring culture maintained in the United States–then blended with wort fermented with Surly’s house cultures. We place the result in virgin oak and red wine barrels along with whole blueberries.

The finished product is golden-amber, delightfully complex, and mildly tart. Expect wine-like notes of peach, oak, green grass, and vanilla, with a dry, fruit-tannin finish from the extended aging on blueberry skins. Read Less

Every tributary is a beautiful and subtle force of nature. As the solitary winding ribbons of silver feed the expanse of the deep blue they embody the nature of the collective effort. As we find ourselves collaborating within our craft, we often seek similar paths. Every shared crop of hops, strain of brett, and drop of water are branches of our perspective, contributing to a larger entity.

Sometimes it seems, that on our own, we flow with intangible influence, but then our paths meet with others. It is the broadening of our riverbanks that connects us at our collective source.

Tributary brett saison is a true collaboration between New Belgium Brewing and Wicked Weed Brewing. Brewed with wild yeast, hops, barley and water from both Colorado and North Carolina, this heavily hopped saison perfectly blends both breweries' love of creativity and native ingredients. Read Less

We have orange and green – This year is orange so we thought about the idea of the destruction of nature and the rebirth of it such as a phoenix or fire destruction leading to regrowth. The area where the spruce tips were sourced is called Pagosa Springs, Colorado. It’s in the San Juan Valley. Super gorgeous area. About four years ago, this area experienced terrible wild fires that were referred to as the West Fork Complex. About 109,000 acres burned. So this area is experiencing a ton of rebirth and growth after that fire. The new trees aren’t mature enough yet to produce the quality of tips we used , but there’s a rejuvenating story to be told there that all stems from fire. Read Less

Belgian Stout is not a bold and roasty American-style stout simply brewed with Belgian yeast. The recipe was designed as a proper nod to the Belgian-style, and it all started with the grain bill. Briess’ Midnight Wheat and Epiphany Craft Malt’s Brewer’s Breakfast Malt lend a subtle grain body while Ruby Malt also from the North Carolina-based Epiphany provides notes of plum, fig, and dark fruit. Additions of orange to the base create a classy ale reminiscent of a chocolate orange while star anise adds a whiff of botanical liqueur and soft licorice. Imperial’s Napoleon Belgian Yeast’s high attenuation leaves this beer extremely dry allowing for a pleasant orange twang mixed with smoky cloves on the finish. Read Less
