Was expecting something more sweet and viscous like a bourbon barrel ale, but this is more crisp and burnt. Let it warm and you start getting toasted coconut, but not enough to save the overly burn, smokey flavors.

Wonderfully complex with a blast of grapefruit and stone fruits up front, some very light tropical notes in the middle and then finishing with a back of the tongue pine flavor to wrap everything up. Finishes a little bitter and dry making you come back.

Light and a little rye bready with some sweet notes mixed into more grassy spiciness. Quite good as it’s light yet filling with bold flavors that do not linger long except a slight malty sweetness at the end.

A delightful aroma of barrel aged ale, raisin, and apple cider. A wonderful, complex flavor of the scents along with a very, very distant tang in the back of the mouth similar to a yogurt, but it’s not necessarily sour.
