Mat H. is drinking a Jammy Dodger by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
July 18. 330ml btl. Expected vibrant jammy raspberry in the taste, as in previous Hatter beers, but it seems noticeably lacking this time. It does appear to be there nestled underneath sweet malt, soft lactose and very light vanilla hints
Eduardo E. is drinking a Follow The White Rabbit by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Mat H. is drinking a Grenadini by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Dec 17. 330ml bottle. Unclear golden orange, initial large fizzing head that quickly peters out. Aroma is lactic with little fruit. Taste is fizzy, lactic, lightly sour, grainy with zero grenadine / pomegranate notes. Not Mad Hatter's usual high standard
Lars-Olov S. is drinking a Tzatziki Sour by Mad Hatter Brewing Company at Untappd at Home
Mat H. is drinking a Drink Me Smokey Bacon Banana by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Oct 17. 330ml bottle. fairly light on the smoked front, though pleasantly so. The weiss yeast too is soft and smudgy, nestled nicely beneath the smoked wood and an English bitter-like malt body. Smooth, light, pleasant..
Mat H. is drinking a Say Hello Wave Goodbye by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Jul 23 2017. 330ml bottle. Aroma of herbal coffee. Taste has some pleasant ginger-like spice and light vegetal coffee warmth, brought together well. Interesting, different, enjoyable coffee pale.
Mat H. is drinking a Double Penny Lane by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Feb 1 2017. 330ml bottle. Pours a misty amber, medium off-white head. Aroma is light citric orangeade. Taste is lightly crisp, pale malts, soft exotic fruit, apricot.. touch sticky with a mild bitterness. Not over-the-top, very balanced and easy-drinking.
Mat H. is drinking The Void And the Event by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Oct 9 2016. 330ml bottle. Aroma presents sweet ripened orchard fruit and faint white wine. Taste is thankfully not overly sweet, but well balanced with light BA nuances subtly drifting into view, and integrating well with the fruity barley wine elements.
Mat H. is drinking a Return To Madness by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Oct 9 2016. 330ml bottle. overly sweet, syrupy, perhaps boosted by its sweet Belgian yeast. Tough work fighting through it to uncover the hoppy limey grapefruit elements. But the sweet fruitiness just becomes a little overpowering by the end
Mat H. is drinking a Through the Oak Darkly by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Oct 8 2016. 330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie. Pours an intensely dark brown, good tan head. Aroma has oaky red wine hints. Taste has the familiar smooth chocolatey character of its predecessor but with a distinct fruity tangy vinous influence. Drying finish.
Mat H. is drinking a Jarg by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Oct 7 2016. 330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a misty gold, large fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet, yeasty. Taste is soft yeasty sweet, doughy, lightly sugary, some tripel-like banana desert esters. Nice.
Mat H. is drinking an A Tropical Chilli Night Out by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
July 27 2016. Taste light tropical elements totally over-ridden by the chilli heat. Not too into chilli beers &this perhaps takes things too far. Faint glimpses of coconut valiantly attempt to take the edge off but the heat is here to stay
Veronica C. is drinking a Drink Me Rye Pale Ale by Mad Hatter Brewing Company at Riverside Inn
Mat H. is drinking a Membrillo Tripel by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Jan 24 2016. 330ml bottle from Beer Heroes. Pours deep amber with good white head. Aroma is light yeast and orange. Taste is orange pith, honey and sweet slick flavours.. yeast low in the mix giving way to more honey. Bit too sweet for me tho.
Mat H. is drinking a Who Loves The Sun by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Dec 9 2015. Extremely lively, had to wait 20 minutes before it settled down. Aroma is spice, yeast, citrus. Taste presents a lot of pineapple, grapefruit and citrus. Very flavoursome with a lingering fruitiness, and some rye. Very good.
Mat H. is drinking an Absence Of... Melon by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
Nov 12 2015. Aroma is butterscotch, pear & spice. Acidic with a gripping bitterness. The berry fruit is present but taking a backseat to the snappy saison-esque candi sugar sweetness & fuzzy carbonation. Can't detect any melon.
Mat H. is drinking a Drink Me Panettone Tripel by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
RB backup. Dec 23 2013. Great, full-tasting tripel, ever so slightly creamy and a touch more sweetness than its Belgian coutnerparts. Really tried to pick up some saffron or any additional spiciness at all but alas couldn’t help feeling disapointed
Mat H. is drinking a Drink Me Apricot Sour Saison by Mad Hatter Brewing Company
RB backup. Sep 6 2013. 330ml bottle from Beermoth. A gusher. Very little apricot here, some sourness but overall a confused saison thats not quite sure of itself. Not great.
Timbo & Liz 4. is drinking a Tzatziki Sour by Mad Hatter Brewing Company at Untappd at Home
Bottled in 2018 drank in 2022 still tastes great just still got that Indian popadum minty dip taste sad loss that the brewery is no more
July 18. 330ml bottle. Dark malt on the nose. Fairly light on the palate, a bit like an old-style porter, some light chocolate moments, bitter dark malt. Light carbonation. Comes and goes without leaving much of a mark.
