Indulgent but not so much you save it for too long; rich in flavour, full of body and bitter and boozy enough to take your time over.
A beer of this body and strength is a stretch for my equipment and so is double mashed. With a few iterations I’m hoping the result will be worth the effort.
The 2021 version has come out at 10.4%. It’s less harsh than the 2020 iteration and, in my humble opinion, is a much improved recipe with less harshness and more depth. A constant work in progress but now a drinkable beer to finsih an evening. Read Less
