Our flagship beer, the one that started it all. Our unique barrel ageing process brings flavours like vanilla and toffee and we've combined this with the malty character of our Scotch Ale to create an incredible taste experience.

We brew The Original using our unique barrel into beer method, turning the traditional beer into barrel process on its head without losing any of the wonderful flavours and aromas from the barrel.

This very special dark ale has been brewed in small batches and then matured in hand-selected, first-fill bourbon casks to give it its rich, rounded character.

Notes of brown sugar, orange oil and coconut are complemented by an earthy freshness from the hops, and the 30 days the beer's spent in oak have ensured a satisfyingly smooth finish.

White oak is native to North America and typically contains a higher vanillin content than its European counterpart, which has a strong influence on the flavour of whatever comes into contact with it once it's made into barrels.

Our white oak is air-dried for 24 months before before it's made into casks and then charred to create a natural barrier between the spirit and the very heavy, virgin vanilla flavour that's locked within the grain of the wood. It's only at this point that our beer would come into contact with it either as a cask or as chips in our Oakerators®.

Following its lengthy cask maturation and the blending of dry hops, this beer has a beautiful balanced finish, rich and smooth with an aroma of orange, ripe cherries and lychee.

An imperial red ale brewed using extra pale ale, rye crystal and crystal malts with a touch of wheat. A first for Innis & Gunn, the beer was transferred into first fill bourbon casks and then dry hopped with a blend of Ahtanum and Hallertau Hersbruker hops for maturation.

The dry hopping with impart an intense and distinctive hop aroma of orange, Turkish delight, dried cherries and lychees. Read Less

This porter has been matured over oak infused with a fine Scotch Whisky to give it its unique depth and complexity.

Not as common in Scotland as they are in England, the origins of porters lie in early 18th century London. These beers were made for the street and river porters in the city, hence their name. Affordable, flavoursome and warming, porter was a favourite beer style with these London workers for years. Ours, similar to this 18th century version, has been matured with oak which gives it its rich, rounded, authentic character.

This refreshing, Pale Ale has been matured over rare Scottish Oak, which hasn't been used in brewing since the Anglo-Spanish wars and the Armada, when huge areas of Scottish forest were felled to build ships.

The beer is finished with the addition of sweet gale which grows wild in the Scottish Highlands and was used traditionally as an alternative to imported hops by brewers in Scotland.

Crisp aromatic and light, this beer is one for the summer evenings.

Some of our best beers have been inspired by conversations with fans around the world. So in 2016 we launched Imagine & Gunn in Sweden to give our Swedish friends the chance to collaborate with us in the creation of a Limited Edition Innis & Gunn beer.

Mika Jeppson from Solvesborg was the runaway winner with his spicy barrel aged Imperial Stout.

We loved the idea and the beer is even better; it's big, bold and bursting with rich flavours and a mouth tingling spicy heat.

Aroma: Spiky chilli notes combined with creamy coffee and vanilla oak.

Taste: Creamy and full bodied. Roasted malt notes balanced with some oak and bitterness. Read Less
