Lots of malt flavor going on here. Rich and bold, a proper Belgian. For sure lives up to the Quad style. First sip was a bitty heavy on the carbonation but after a couple minutes in the glass it’s a real treat.

Nose on this is great. Black licorice and molasses with bourbon. Taste is a barrel forward offering boozy and roasty Malt goodness.

Forgot to check this in last night. SOTD was brewed last spring so it’s over a year old now and just continues to improve. Big rich sweet malt followed by a boozy head kick. Coffee is there but not in the forefront.

Updating my rating. This beer is now 2-years old. A bit over carbonated, but the flavors of coffee and maple have really come forward. This has truly become an EXCELLENT beer.

It’s aged. More hops hard to believe after that much time.
