Definitely an American version. Bold roast with vibrant hopping. Blk malts lend a pop of campfire & smoke that melds into bittersweet chocolate. EKG keeps the earthiness but the Cascade smacks of classic Amer. Pine & some citrus.

Loads of roasted malts with chocolate and caramel (more on the nose). Finishes dry with a good deal of bitterness. Old School. So hard to find a good dark beer when the weather turns warm. I found one. Tasty. 3.90
