Burly Blonde isn't your typical blonde ale. Most breweries make a blonde ale as an entry-level or gateway beer for folks just breaking into craft beer. We took a slightly different approach and brewed a blonde ale with a rather aggressive 7.5% ABV that has a mild malty/grainy flavor with a little bitterness to balance it out and slight hop flavor. While this beer is super approachable and works well as a transition beer it is also popular among craft beer drinkers. Just be careful, at 7.5% this isn’t your typical lawnmower beer. Read Less

As with all our beers, we couldn’t leave well enough alone. By itself, Swiss Mistress is a really nice milk stout with a roasted coffee, chocolate, toasted grain, and slight caramel character and a rich, creamy mouthfeel. After fermentation is complete, the beer is aged on organic roasted cocoa nibs, which contributes rich chocolate flavors and aromas. Read Less

This one is pretty straight forward coffee stout. We start with a bold, rich, and roasty stout and kick it up by aging it on light roast Ethiopian Hambela Gugi coffee. What we were going for here was a stout with coffee and not a coffee with stout, so the coffee flavors and aromas are not overbearing and compliment the beer rather than overwhelming it. Read Less

This one is no exception, a ton of New Zealand an American hops produce a huge citrus and tropical fruit aroma and flavor profile (someone once described it as Juicy Fruit gum. This porter pours midnight-black and has a complex and forward profile consisting of all the characteristics of a… well… robust porter. “Ahhhh” you say, “what are the characteristics of a robust porter?” Excellent question, flavors and aromas such as roasty coffee and dark chocolate, a complementing bitterness that isn’t overpowering, and a distinct, yet subtle, earthy smokey finish. Stung is the big, bold, obnoxious brother of both the Stinger IPA and Middle Child IIPA. Like Stinger and Middle Child, a lot of honey is used in the making of this beer although, the bright and cirtusy American hops and tropical New Zealand hops are the focus. Honestly, you’d swear there was a sale on hops. While there is no shortage of citrus, pine, and tropical hops flavors a big malty component serves to balance out the alcohol content (and hops) of this beer and creates a surprisingly smooth beer for its 10.5%. Oh yeah, this beer is 10.5%.. be careful. Read Less

It’s a good beer just as it is, but it could use something… so into cabernet sauvignon barrels it goes, which adds some oak-y notes along with dark fruit flavors and tannins that are left over from the wine that once inhabited the barrels. You’re probably asking yourself “what the heck are tannins?” It’s a wine term that only wine people understands, but we’re using it to sound super fancy, which was working perfectly until you started asking questions and poked holes in our beer description. Cream ales are a dying bread… and probably one of the most unfortunately named beer styles, since they contain no cream or dairy at all. They aren't the most exciting beers and, as a result, they aren't brewed by a lot of commercial breweries. 35 Cats has a lot of typical cream ale characteristics... it's light, clean, and crisp with some cereal grain flavor from the maize used in the recipe, which makes it extremely easy to drink. However, to add a little dimension to the beer, we lightly dry hopped the beer with Amarillo to give it some stone fruit-type flavors. We didn't try to IPA-ize this beer by loading it up with a huge dry hop, rather it has a light background flavor from the Amarillo that makes you stop and say "wait, what was that?" Read Less
