Wood on the nose, familiar to camping. The oak comes through but is not overwhelming. Apple brandy comes in a bit more than the bourbon.

Alex: Haven't had this in a few months, was the carbonation okay?
Matthew Hales: Carbonation was surprising. Had to be a soft pour. The tulip probably didn't help matters. There was a smokiness to it on the nose & palate.

Cocoa and vanilla up front and then you get friggen blasted by the ancho chillies. The heat hits and lingers. This beer is great. 8.6/10

Great head for the style! Maple syrup tamed the bourbon nicely. Coffee & toffee up front as flavors mellow. ABV really well hidden. 8.7/10

sour fruit on the nose; heavy mouthfeel; goes down like champagne b/c its on the dry side. Hibiscus is present but lemon zest overpowers it.
