The sixth beer in our series of big fat IPA's is brewed with Pahto, Citra Lupomax, El Dorado, Azacca, Bru-1, Trident, Zappa and Amarillo. 420 is a bit of a special number as you may know, so we made sure to toss in as much fruity and danky hops we could find. Expect huge notes of tropical fruits, dankness, and a little pine. The generous use of oats and a subtle dose of caramalt gives 420 a vibrant yellow color with a slight orange hue with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel and a pleasant soft bitterness that will leave you wanting more. It’s our second beer using HDHC hopping techniques, which stands for High Density Hop Charge. We’re using Mosaic Incognito and Cryo in the whirlpool, and Mosaic Cryo and Mosaic Spectrum and T90 for Dry Hopping. In Medieval times, the cities of Groningen (Baxbier) and Appingedam (Floem) had an alliance regarding brewing rights and a lot of other stuff. We didn't actually read all of it but we're pretty sure it needs an update after 528 years. That's why we joined forces with Floem to brew BIGGER ALLIANCE. It's an Imperial Red IPA, which you don't see around very often these days. We used Incognito Mosaic, Strata, Barbe Rouge and the experimental hop variety HBC630 to push for maximum red fruit flavor and aroma to complement the rich malt base and firm bitterness. Read Less

This golden orange West Coast IPA tastes like vibrant tangerines, citrus peel, pine, a little mint and has a firm bitterness because its loaded with CTZ, Citra, Idaho7 and most of all ZAPPA! A new hop variety named after legendary musician Frank Zappa. So we named the beer after a legendary instrumental song of his: Cruisin' for Burgers.
