Split Bill (yes, we love our duck puns) is designed to feature our two favorite hops by "splitting" their use during the brewing process. We use lots of Citra early on and lots of Mosaic late. This process pulls just enough bitterness from the Citra while retaining it's floral characteristics and allowing the soft fruitiness of Mosaic to pronounce late. Normally, this elusive brew is a TAPROOM ONLY offering so you can share the experience with others and perhaps "split the bill", however, we're currently offering a limited run in 16oz cans so you can enjoy them at home during these unique times. In atomic terminology, when an atom or nucleus possesses more than its normal energy it enters into an "excited state". That's both the name of our German style Pilsner as well as the condition you'll achieve after tasting it. We start with an elegantly traditional malt base and add just a touch of Vienna Malt (for a bit more toasted malt character) then hop this crisp, easy drinking lager with traditional German hops for a distinctive yet smooth flavor and bitterness. When excited state atoms decay the excess energy is released in the form of gamma rays and fluorescence. While we promise that you won't "hulk out" after drinking this brew, you may choose to sip and bask in the "glow" of the excess energy this beer possesses.  Read Less

This fruited Hefeweizen was brewed with some traditional approaches (Munich malt, lots of wheat, and classic German Hefeweizen yeast) and some non-traditional ones (Mangoes). This malt bill, combined with one of the world’s most perfect yeast strains, brings out the classic notes of clove and banana that you expect, while mangoes provide the fruitiness and mild tartness that you don't. The Mango addition makes this wheat beer standout and the name celebrates the exceptional……the Calutron Girls. The Calutron Girls were a group of women who, due to labor shortages during WW2, were recruited to work at the top-secret Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. These women were tasked with monitoring and adjusting the dials and meters on a mass spectrometer that produced the enriched uranium used in the first Atomic bomb. They did all this with an extremely high level of efficiency, with ZERO knowledge of their true job function or what the dials they were monitoring and adjusting controlled. A manager at the Oak Ridge facility reportedly would tell new Calutron girls, “We can train you how to do what is needed, but cannot tell you what you are doing. I can only tell you that if our enemies beat us to it, God have mercy on us!” This beer is dedicated to the many unsung and under-appreciated contributions made by so many women during the war effort. Horchata comes in many different styles and has been a part of culinary cultures in a wide ranging spectrum of Latin and African countries since the 16th Century. It, however, has been the Mexican influenced version of Horchata that has exploded in popularity. Here we look to mimic the traditional flavors found in that style of Horchata (cinnamon, vanilla, cream) with OUR CHA TAH over a beer base. We partnered with our good friends at SerVehZah to help them celebrate their two favorite things: great beer and their appreciation for their Latin roots. A cream ale was a logical starting point, we then added cinnamon & vanilla for flavor and lactose and oats to create some "creaminess". To continue the unique & amusing nature of this beer, it will be served in a glass rimmed with cajeta & a sugar/cinnamon blend. ¡Salud! Read Less

Our Honey Dip Stout given the "Double Barrel" treatment and taken to an entirely new level. 50% aged in rye barrels, 50% aged in bourbon barrels, then blended together just prior to kegging. All the identifiable flavors in Honey Dip Stout (vanilla, honey, oak) are softened and rounded by the aging process. The barrel aging adds a deep chocolate flavor, another layer of sweet richness, and subtle notes of bourbon. A soft mouthfeel adds another nuance to the complexity of this world class offering. A kiloton is "a unit of explosive power equivalent to 1,000 tons of TNT" and it's the measuring unit used to evaluate atomic and nuclear devices. In 1946, beginning with the detonation of a 21 kiloton device, the United States began nuclear testing at islands in the Pacific. These tests damaged the islands and much of their vegetation but "nature always finds a way" and the first element to prove it's resilience and return was the coconut. Here we recognize that fastidious fruit by brewing an Imperial Dark Ale with so much toasted coconut that it literally explodes with coconut flavor. Being an Able Baker beer, however, that's simply not enough so we aged it in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels and then rested it on cocoa nibs. The result is a sultry, boozy, brew with bold, upfront coconut, and reserved tinges of chocolate and cherrywood. Read Less

We expand the umbrella of our Exclamative Sour Series with this distinctively tart fruit ale. This brew was inspired by, and the flavors chosen to accent, the unique winter climate of the desert. We used Sourvisiae yeast to produce a clean, bright, lactic acid character and balanced that by using blueberries to leave a BLAM! of residual sweetness. We followed by swirling in a BLAM! of warming vanilla, and the result is a tart but pleasantly fruited sour that explodes with flavor and pours a vivid magenta in color. Read Less

INFAMY 2403 is a beer that's battle born, the name references President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's historic 'a date which will live in infamy' speech delivered the day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. That declaration launched the US into World War II, leading directly to our development of the Atom Bomb and Nevada becoming the center of Atomic testing and research. The attack on Pearl Harbor resulted in 2,403 lives lost and here, in the best way we know how, we hope to remember those fallen while paying the proper respect due an event as significant and tragic as Dec. 7th, 1941. The USS Arizona still leaks from 2 to 9 quarts of oil a day into Pearl Harbor, veterans and locals refer to this as "black tears" or the "tears of the Arizona". As a symbolic reference to that phenomenon, we endeavored to brew a beer with a constitution and coloration "like oil". This Imperial Porter was barrel aged for more than a year then rested on cocoa nibs and whole bean coffee. It represents the best of what we have to give, for those who gave much more, and was brewed with unmitigated reverence. Every year, a portion of the proceeds from this beer will be donated to the Pacific Historic Parks division of our National Parks Registry, this money specifically goes to upkeep of the USS Arizona Memorial as well as educational opportunities surrounding visits and tours.
