Rich raisin full-on quality. Difficult to better. High praise indeed.
Speckled Jim is drinking an Even More JCS by Evil Twin Brewing at Almondbank Graveyard
What a wonderful experience. Smooth, subtle sweetness, vanilla, coffee. I need even more Even More JCS. One of the best I’ve had ever. Not many 5 ratings from me over the years. Thanks CM!

Limited edition bottle number 1251 from Captain Magenta’s cellar. Liquorice and smoky whisky flavour which I like, however there’s a sour finish which spoils it a wee bit.

Had to blow the cellar dust off this one. More of a golden ale than an IPA in my opinion. Mellow toffee and honey flavours, with background whisky notes. Really like this, pity it’s all gone!

Very pleasant nitro milk stout. Great mouth feel, sweet caramel and coffee.

This is close to perfection. Caramel, malty sweetness. Lovely. Increased my rating.

Another citrusy, hoppy ale. Inoffensive!

Very light colour, which matches the taste. Like flat lemonade, can’t detect any alcohol. Disappointing.

Hoppy. Quite tasty.

Fairly unspectacular. Suspect I’m getting a hint of detergent taste? Not quite offensive, but pushing the limits of acceptability.

Biscuity on the nose, but a whacking hit of fresh lemon flavour with a wee bit ginger. Very refreshing.

Ok

Retrospective check-in from last night. As CM says, this was taken after some very substantial and excellent imperial stouts, so is probably better than it appeared at the time. The whisky flavour is certainly to the fore. Very pleasant.
