Lone Pine: I thought lagering in oak was supposed to add some barrel notes, like vanilla, cedar, smoke, etc. Otherwise, it's a gimmick. Oh well.
Shane: I think it depends on how neutral the wood is. I have had several wood aged lagers where the wood is noticeable
Lone Pine: Agree, and I didn't mean bourbon, strong kind of impact, yet at least something should be there.

Rando shelf find. Japanese Pastry stout. Primarily chocolatety with a sweet fruit middle almost like a freeze dried strawberry. Unique and the body is quite good for 6%
