It has a very faint phenolic note, which was surprising. The aftertaste, if you could call it that, more of an aroma, evokes cheap, stale, American light lager memories so I guess it maybe hits the intended mark.

Despite being rolled out to the shelves at my local Whole Foods a year after the year it was packaged for, this is pretty nice. Mostly cinnamon, and some sweet cran/apple soda flavor, faint hint of beer. Tastes like Christmas.

Nice dark fruit, toffee, pastry, herbal spice. Lovely light smoky char. Faint hop bitterness.

Really too bad this wasn't kept cold and seemed way past its prime. Paper/cardboard notes up front. Add some acidic citrus juice (lime/blood orange) and a bit of salt and it almost passes for a mock sour. Need tk revisit if I can find it fresh.
