Shane: As I sit with it, the delicate orchard fruitiness blooms on the palate, a little floral even.
Shane is drinking The Lion & the Mouse (Batch 500) by Mad Fritz at Jester Kane Flowhouse
While pouring it smells fruity, orchard-like. Taste grounds it w a little spice & malt. Graham biscuit w orange marmalade, rooty Brazil nut, hint of clove all over some cleansing light oak threads. Another super airy naturally carb'd beaut of a body.

Uniquely rich & deep, the expression is diametrically opposed to the typical oud bruin, only faintly tart, barely even acidic really, & not even harsh even w the added ABV. It's almost like caramelized fig w hints of coffee, Reisen, dark cherry. 18 months
Shane: in oak, it finishes pleasantly dry w mild tannins & faint char, as well as a little earthiness coming just shy of mushroom. Plum & peppery red wine further accent as it warms. A very promising start before Woodshop opens up.
Tom A: I still need to get down to this place. This beer sounds interesting & the nails are on point!
Shane: LOL at the nails. This beer is bottle only unfortunately, not sure how long it will be available, one and done. But not a huge demand for the style so you might have time. Of course you gotta get here to eat especially!
Shane is drinking The Bear And the Bees (Rancho Chimiles Honey) by Mad Fritz at Jester Kane Flowhouse
One of the most unique beers I've had in a minute, I'm having trouble finding words to describe it. It's almost got a tripel bite to it, but a bit bolder, & also woodier, somewhat like cedar, but not. It also has a little more maltiness, between caramel,

Shane: toffee & leafiness. But it's so insanely pillowy light on the palate, it's qauffable as all hell. After time, it develops a little more brightness, like a faint hint of passion fruit pungency, perhaps exhaling a honey sweetness.
Doug Haidet: Adding it to the wishlist. Sounds wild.

What a strange conglomeration. Buttery nose. Skunky, burnt rubber, old weed resin, but also lovely almost nitro like frothiness, cotton dry. "I can't believe it tastes like that and looks like that at the same time!" Imperial Pale Ale?!
Always a pleasure, another surprise vintage I've not had just sitting around my cellar. It has opposing elements of white wine and woody, nutty sherry with a crisp effervescence and a juicy clementine acidity.
