Dark Penance label

Floral & biscuit notes in the nose. Great roasted malt up front followed by a pleasant sweetness in the middle, bitter hops to finish.

  • Jason : I don't normally like black IPAs but I'm pretty psyched to try this at the Prairie Trail beer dinner tomorrow and maybe pick some up if good

  • Erik Bond: I enjoyed this as much as Blakkr from Surly. Both are great. I had never been too keen on black ipa's either, but both are fantastic.

  • Jason : Huh. I wonder if the crystal malt sweetness is the throughline, there. I think it makes for a nice interplay with piny, bitter hops.
