The vanilla is there, but the beer is very roasty and you need to look for it. It’s decent. It’s not super syrupy - very light mouthfeel.

Warmed a bit and now I can write. The nose comes off more like a porter or possibly a brown. I get the vanilla, but again, there are bitter and burnt notes at the finish which I attribute more to a porter. It's really good. I like it but it fooled me.
