Falls short....Don't care what anyone else says. I'm not a pro and never will be.
Henry Clay: I disagree but if you want to maybe think about the water next time- isn’t there ph testers or maybe use spring water
Bobby Ragú™: Henry C. I'm biased. It's hard to go from drinking a commercial beer to a homebrew...It let's you know just how rough around the edges it is
Bobby Ragú™: Not that it's bad... it's just not clean and refined.
Henry Clay: 👍🏻

Eh. I don't have the patience or the space to cold crash these bottles for a week like they should be in order for all the hop particals to drop out of suspension. Because of that, it leaves this beer a lot more bitter and pithy than it's supposed to be.

Came out better than I expected it to. Better drink it all now while it's super fresh!
Bobby Ragú™: Jorge Luis B. You want some? I'll get ya a bottle or two. I'd be interested to see what you think of it.
Bobby Ragú™: Absolutely. You going to be around at all Sunday?
Bobby Ragú™: Ok!
Henry Clay: Awesome

Had a second go at this again. Still not impressed. This time I had control of the fermentation temp. Kept it in the lower 60's, unlike last time. I think that I need to use a different yeast manufacturer. I'm still getting the same undesirable profile.
Bobby Ragú™: Not undrinkable, just not very good. It tastes like a beer that you'd buy once and make it a point to never drink again...
Bobby Ragú™: Unfortunately for me I have 5 and a half gallons of it. 😐
Bobby Ragú™: Jorge Luis B. I know. I had such high hopes too. 🥺
Bobby Ragú™: I'm thinking it's the yeast I'm using...If it's not an IPA or a dark beer, the yeast has a tremendous influence in flavor

A toast to the white trash piece of shit who lives below me, who in her desperate measures called the police on me tonight for no reason other than than the fact that she's scum and has nothing else better to do than to waste taxpayers money.

Bottle conditioned homebrew can be weird...I tried it for the first time the other day and I was just like, eh, it's ok. Let it sit a few more days and today it's gotten better. Still not a Ruthless Rye clone though.

Redux #3. Followed the recipe to a "T" this time and it's definitely not a Ruthless Rye clone. This time it was dryhopped and it really shouldn't have been, not that it makes it a bad beer, it's just not what it should be.
Bobby Ragú™: Think it's better with just the late addition hops and didn't need to be dryhopped. Sierra Nevada did us wrong with their Ruthless Rye clone
Henry Clay: Looks good though
Bobby Ragú™: Henry C. it's good... but not a clone of what it's supposed to be.

It's pretty tasty. I think that I added too much rye to the mash. It has a sharp rye spice to it. Not horrible, but def a little overdone.
Bobby Ragú™: Jorge Luis B. 5 gallons of it, so technically I don't have to leave the house anymore... Until I have to go to work!
Bobby Ragú™: I'm 24 on and 72 off.
Bobby Ragú™: You still workin'?
Bobby Ragú™: Stay safe out there!

Brewed this again. Carbed up and ready to drink... Sweet caramel and bready maltyness... It's a good beer worth brewing a few times.
kerri F: I miss your brews!
Bobby Ragú™: Gotta get you some!
Michael P: ISO. FT: Buncha cans I brewed. 😀

Reevaluating now that it's fully bottle conditioned.Still just ok, but it'll definitely get you drunk. Shout out to Mr. Beer btw!

First homebrew in over 2 years...Pretty lackluster beer. Not really flavorful, but not a drain pour either. Fermented clean, no off-flavors.

Bobby Ragú™: You will! It's ok, I guess? It's not horrible, it's just kind of meh.
Bobby Ragú™ is drinking a Bourbon Oaked Imperial Stout by Top Floor Brew Works at Levittown, NY
A 6 year old bottle of homebrew. The bourbon notes held in like a champ. It's smooth, sweet and tastes like burnt wood.
Bobby Ragú™: I'm really surprised that it lasted this long in less than favorable conditions in storage.
Bobby Ragú™: Not professionally brewed, but I'm also not dumping it down the drain either, so that says something!

I think this is going to be it for a while folks. I've become a fat fuck and I can't stand it anymore. I've got some weight to lose. See ya!

Fook! Didn't think that this would have turned out to be so good...

After 3 weeks in the fridge, I think that it's probably at it's best. Gonna bump it back up to a solid 4. The hops fell out but not off. Can't drink more than 3/4 of the bottle though. I still think this was a bad beer for homebrewers like me.
